We warrant Slick Chick’s electronic circuit board against manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days from purchase. Physical damage is excluded from all warranty claims. To submit a claim under warranty, please email support @slickchick.org and request an RMA #. For warranty claims, you will cover the cost to ship Slick Chick to us, and we will cover the cost to ship it to you. We will first ask a few questions to try to solve the issue via email. We offer an extended warranty (up to 3 years for an added cost of $45/year) contact support@slickchick.org if you would like to purchase an extended warranty. Extended warranties are available within 48 hours of your order’s ship date, after 48 hours an extended warranty is not available. If you have multiple Slick Chicks and you want an extended warranty, you must purchase an extended warranty for each of your Slick Chicks.
We advocate for people checking on their chickens regularly to ensure they are healthy. Slick Chick will make it easy to let your chickens out and lock them up remotely, but should not be used as a substitute for responsible animal husbandry practices. To ensure the safety of your chickens, be sure to visually confirm Slick Chick is closed when you want it to be.
For this reason we have made the door white, and also added a blue LED to aid in visually confirming the door is closed at night.
By purchasing Slick Chick, you agree to this Limitation of Liability: We will not be liable for any loss either directly, or indirectly resultant from the use of Slick Chick. (If you placed an order with us via Kickstarter, and do not agree to this, you may cancel your order, or return your unused Slick Chick within 7 days of the date we shipped it to you for a refund of the purchase price of Slick Chick. Returns of all non-defective orders not placed via Kickstarter are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee. Shipping costs will not be refunded. Return Policy:
We accept non-defective returns within the first 7 days (as calculated from ship date for your order). Defective returns are accepted within the warranty period as detailed above.
Full refund: If upon return there is no physical damage to the door and we can verify there is a manufacturing defect with the door, we can repair/replace your door, or offer you a full refund.
Refund with a 15% restocking fee: If it passes tests for manufacturing defects and you have not physically installed it using screws. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
50% Refund: If it passes tests for manufacturing defects and it has been installed using screws. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
Customer Support: We offer up to a half hour of complimentary customer support with each order. We can only offer suggestions as to general solutions to Alexa/google Home/WiFi network issues, as it is impossible for us to accurately troubleshoot those remotely. There is a large community of Alexa and Google Home users, as well as manufacturer support for those services as well.
