Troubleshooting

Door doesn’t do anything.
Be sure it is powered on.
(the door should blink a blue LED when connected to power)

Door flashes blue LED and /or beeps but doesn’t open.
If your door beeps and does not open, be sure to check the delay switch to ensure it is not pushed in. See more info here.
If the delay button is not pushed in, try unplugging the door and plugging it back in (if the solar version unhook it from the solarpower source and reconnect it.) Disconnecting/reconnecting power reboots Slick Chick.

Door doesn’t beep.

Check the Alert switch and be sure it is pushed in. (more info here)

WiFi Connection Issues:
Ensure you have at least 3 bars of 2.4Ghz wifi in the location where Slick Chick will be installed. If you currently have a 5Ghz network or a 2.4/5Ghz network, see if your network has the option to temporarily disable 5G while you are adding Slick Chick. alternatively, if your network only has 5G, consider adding a low cost 2.4G extender to connect with Slick Chick. Since there are an infinite number of connection variables with wifi connections, we can offer general guidance as mentioned above, but if you run into trouble you may need to consult with a network specialist to aid you.

Tip: Be sure your wifi password does not have any ! Characters in it. One customer reported they were unable to connect to wifi if the password has an exclamation mark in it. Changing their wifi password to one without an exclamation mark worked.
